  • Temperature: It can get down to 5°C even in summer. Please dress much warmer than you think you need!

What if it's cloudy?

If the sky is not suitable for outdoor telescopes, we don't just cancel! We provide several options so you don't miss out:

  1. Indoor Tour: Join our immersive digital tour in our specialized space (offered at a reduced rate).
  2. Reschedule: Move your booking to a later departure that same night or to the next available clear night.
  3. Gift Card: Convert your booking into a Gift Card — use it yourself later or give it to a friend!
  4. Full Refund: If you cannot reschedule, we offer a full refund (less 8% admin fees).

What does "Indoor Tour" mean?

If the weather doesn't play ball, we still want to share the wonders of the universe with you! Our Immersive Indoor Tour includes:

  • A high-definition virtual journey through the Akaroa night sky.
  • Expert Q&A and storytelling with our passionate astronomers.

Note: Indoor tours are offered at a reduced rate. If you prefer not to attend the indoor session, you can choose to reschedule, convert to a gift card, or request a refund.
